Method and Assessment Overview:
The TechCreation 21st Century Skills Course employs a flipped-classroom model in which students access instructional videos from home at night, and then practice what they’ve learned in class the next day. Videos include instructor-created content, free YouTube content, Lynda.com subscription-based content, and screencasts created by former students. Formative assessments will consist of real-time demonstrations of computer skills, screencast assignments, verbal question and answer sessions, and LMS-based online quizzes. Final course grade will be based on a combination of all formative assessments and a final portfolio of work created throughout the semester.
